It might be time for the New York Knicks to part ways with Jarrett Jack.
With Emmanuel Mudiay, Trey Burke and Frank Ntilikina getting all of the minutes at the point guard position, we have to wonder if the New York Knicks will release Jarrett Jack prior to March 1st. This would allow him to sign with a playoff bound team and help them out down the stretch.
Hoops Rumors has mentioned Jack as player that could get released. Since the All-Star break, Jack hasn’t played one single minute for the Knicks and I wouldn’t expect that to change anytime soon. And to be honest it shouldn’t with guys like Mudiay and Burke looking a lot more explosive off the dribble.
Jack has been great at times this season for the Knicks, but with Ntilikina, Mudiay and Burke looking like their the future for now, it doesn’t make sense for them to keep Jack for the rest of the season. HIs contract is up this summer and likely won’t re-sign anyway.
As of right now, I would truly be surprised if the Knicks don’t release jack prior to March 1st. Comment below and tell us whether you think New York will hold onto Jack or not.
