The New York Knicks are on the right path and their fans should be excited about the future.
Even though the New York Knicks have once again gone through another disappointing season, there is plenty of hope for their future as an organization.
Here are three reasons to remain excited about the Knicks.
As much as we all didn’t want to see Kristaps Porzingis go down with a torn ACL, it could end up helping the Knicks land lottery picks in 2018 and 2019.
Of course it will be up to Knicks’ general manager Scott Perry to hit on those picks, but this is another reason that New York has hope when it comes to their future.
Guard log jam
We’ll get to watch Emmanuel Mudiay over the course of the next season and a half. If all goes well, he’ll turn into a star. If not, the Knicks didn’t lose anything by taking a gamble on him.
We also get watch and see whether or not Frank Ntilikina and Trey Burke are long-term solutions for the Knicks.
Right now, all three players have the potential to be very good.
Summer of 2019
When it comes to rebuilding in the NBA, it takes time due to the fact that contracts are guaranteed and teams have to clear out cap space in order to sign the top free agents.
All we can do is patiently wait as the Knicks wait for their finances to clear up so they can try and land some big name players in 2019.
As poorly as the Knicks have been run over the past decade or more, as long as owner James Dolan allows Perry to do his thing as the team’s general manager, they have hope.
