Former Houston Rockets’ player Troy Williams will get a chance to prove himself with the New York Knicks.
There was a report out earlier that the New York Knicks were interested in signing former Houston Rockets forward Troy Williams.
Now Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Knicks have signed Williams to a 10 day contract.
This is a good move for the Knicks because it will enable them to see whether or not Williams is a good fit and vice versa.
The 23 year-old Williams is 6-foot-7 and played his college ball at the University of Indiana from 2013-2016. He ended up going undrafted and has spent time in the G League with Grizzlies and Rockets affiliates.
Williams has only played in six games this season and is averaging 1.3 points.
With the Knicks’ season pretty much over, it doesn’t hurt to take a look at a young player like Williams that could help them going forward.
