This is a really brutal injury for Knicks’ fans. Porzingis is the best thing to happen to the happen to the team in a very long time and now he’s going to be out for the next year as he rehabs his knee.
Being that Porzingis is 7-foot-3, we don’t know how this is going to affect him going forward. This could be a sign of what could end up being a career full of knee injuries. He needs to get stronger and bigger as he gets older in order to stay healthy.
Porzingis’ injury also pretty much guarantees that the Knicks will miss out on the playoffs. Of course, with the way they’ve been playing lately, New York wasn’t going to the postseason anyway.
The most important thing is that Porzingis takes his time and makes sure he doesn’t rush back. His long-term health is the most important thing right now.
