The New York Knicks can only hope and pray that Kristaps Porzingis didn’t seriously injure his knee.
The New York Knicks’ biggest fear may have come true on Tuesday night when star forward Kristaps Porzingis went down with a scary looking knee injury during the second quarter of a game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Porzingis ended up having to be helped off of the court and into the locker room.
Here are some videos of the injury.

Knicks’ management looks very concerned, as they should.

Porzingis suffered what looked like a bad ankle injury back in December and he missed very little time. Hopefully he’s once again dodged a bullet. As soon as we have an update on Porzingis, we will let you know.
Right now, while the Knicks are still in the playoff hunt, they haven’t been playing well as of late and don’t look like they’ll be in the postseason this year. So losing Porzingis likely won’t affect their chances of making the playoffs.
With Porzingis injured, Michael Beasley will certainly get more minutes going forward. Beasley has been a bright spot for the Knicks after signing a one-year deal this past summer.
If Porzingis did in fact suffer a serious injury, the Knicks might need to think about re-signing Beasley for next season.
Update:Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that Porzingis is undergoing an MRI on his knee.
Update:Ian Begley of ESPN says that Porzingis was walking on his own and that a source told him that he’s “OK.”
The problem is that if Porzingis suffered a major knee injury like a torn ACL, he would still be able to walk and put weight on it.
Update: Here is a video of Porzingis walking out of MSG.
