New York Knicks’ center Willy Hernagomez is a hot trade target for teams around the NBA.
It’s been well documented that numerous NBA teams are interested in trading for New York Knicks’ center Willy Hernagomez before next week’s deadline.
Knicks center Willy Hernangomez has drawn trade interest from several teams, including the Spurs and Mavericks, league sources told The Athletic.
It would be nice if the Spurs could give the Knicks Kawhi Leonard in exchange for Hernagomez and a first round pick. New York should take a deal like that without even hesitating. But it won’t happen. Leonard is too important to San Antonio.
It would be a shame if the Knicks end up trading Hernagomez, given the fact that Kyle O’Quinn is expected to leave this summer. That would then leave New York with one center remaining in Enes Kanters, assuming that he picks up his player option and Joakim Noah is somehow gone.
If the Knicks are going to make any moves, we know that they aren’t willing to take on any bad contracts from other teams. Don’t be surprised if they stand pat and don’t make any moves.
