The New York Knicks are still searching for who they are as a team after a loss to the Boston Celtics.
The New York Knicks were completely embarrassed by the Boston Celtics during their game on Wednesday night at TD Garden by a score of 103-73.
After the game, Knicks’ star Kristaps Porzingis did a great job of explaining the difference between the Knicks and Celtics.
“Everybody was off — myself, I felt I missed so many good looks, great looks,’’ Porzingis said. “It was off night as a team shooting-wise. Obviously they’re one of the top defensive teams. They did a great job, but it was an off night for us.’’
“They have an identity. We’re trying to find one ourselves.”
Bingo. Boston has an identity, and the Knicks don’t.
The Celtics embarrassed the Knicks without their best player in Kyrie Irving in the line-up. They came together as the team and played great defense while also hitting quite a first shots from beyond the arc.
The Knicks are a talented team, but they still don’t know who they are yet. They seemed to lack pride in the second half, while Boston turned up the heat and blew them out of the water.
Now the Knicks will be facing off against a very good Milwaukee Bucks team that will have Jabari Parker back in the line-up on Friday. Good luck.
