New York Knicks’ veterans Courtney Lee, Kyle O’Quinn could finish this season with other teams.
There have been plenty of trade rumors when it comes to the New York Knicks and their players. We’ve already heard how numerous teams are interested in Willy Hernagomez, including the Utah Jazz.
There are two players in particular that have the best chance at being moved.
Marc Berman of the New York Post reported over the weekend that Knicks’ guard Courtney Lee as well as center Kyle O’Quinn are the most likely players to get traded prior to next month’s deadline.
According to sources, Kyle O’Quinn and Courtney Lee are the likeliest to go, even if the most inquiries the Knicks have received have been about center Willy Hernangomez, as The Post first reported. Trading O’Quinn opens the door for Hernagomez, 23, to play.
Lee has been having his best of his career at the age of 32. He’s been averaging just under 14 points per game. Moving him would allow the Knicks to plugin Tim Hardaway Jr. at shooting guard, instead of at small forward.
Moving O’Quinn makes a lot of sense because it would allow Hernagomez to get more playing time. and O’Quinn is expected to opt out and become a free agent this summer.
