The New York Knicks came through and got a desperate win on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans.
It looks like the New York Knicks were going to once again blow a first half lead and lose another close game, but they pulled through against a good New Orleans Pelicans team.
Here are a few observations from the game.
Kristaps Porzingis came through
Knicks’ star Kristaps Porzingis stepped up big time against the Pelicans as he scored 30 points while connecting on 50 percent of his shots. He also added seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.
Porzingis also really came through at the end as he hit the game-winning shot while also hitting some other big shots down the stretch.
Maybe the Knicks won’t fall apart
Everyone is expecting the Knicks’ season to come crashing down with a bunch of road games on their schedule over the next four weeks, but this win might give them the confidence they need to weather the storm.
The Knicks next road game will be in Washington against the Wizards next week. It’s a game that they can certainly win. Before that, they play the San Antonio Spurs at home on Tuesday.
Knicks’ confidence should be sky high
After losing a close game to the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas day and then a road loss to the Chicago Bulls, in a game they simply failed to finish, the Knicks did just that against the Pelicans. They were able to finish even though New Orleans erased New York’s 16 point lead in the third quarter.
Great vibe in locker room. Wish more of it could have made Air. Q&A time while I’m on the bus. What do you want to know about Knicks?

Now though, the Knicks will travel back home and look to upset a Spurs team that they hung around with a few days ago away from The Garden.
