It sounds like Tim Hardaway Jr. could be back in a few weeks for the New York Knicks.
Just last week the New York Knicks released an update on small forward Tim Hardaway and his injured leg.
Now the Knicks have once again give another update on Hardaway.
Tim Hardaway Jr. is making consistent progress in his rehabilitation. He has increased his on court activities, including jumping. He will continue to be re-evaluated weekly.

Hardaway also spoke with the media and it sounds like he’s feeling good about his progress.
“After the re-evaluation, just doing a little bit more jumping on the jump shot,” Hardaway said, via Newsday. “Doing a little bit more movements but not running sprints or jumping as in dunking. A little bit here and there as we’re going forward each every day, running in the water treadmill faster, a lot more pace in that.
“Next week if we’re able to run, feeling good without any restrictions, we’ll see how that goes and keep moving forward from there. Just trying to do it as smart as possible.”
Knicks’ head coach Jeff Hornacek is hoping that Hardaway will return some time in January.
“Yeah, that’s all of January that whole road trip,” Hornacek said. “So hopefully he’s back at some point in that time. We’ll see how he progresses next week and we’ll just listen to the doctors.”
The Knicks have played pretty well without Hardaway. There record is 6-6 so far with him on the sideline. With Hardaway being their second best player, they could really use him as they get ready to go on the road for most of the first month of the year.
My guess is that Hardaway will be back on the court by the third week of January.
