The New York Knicks have the talent to pull off a six game winning streak.
After defeating the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night by a score of 99-88 to bring their record to 12-12, the New York Knicks should be able to win their next five games.
Here they are:
Saturday, December 9th @ Chicago Bulls
The Knicks get two days off and then they take on the 3-20 Chicago Bulls on the road. Looking at the Bulls’ record, the New York should be able to come away with a win, but they won’t be playing at home, so nothing is a given. They’re currently 1-7 on the road and won’t have any excuses if they lose to Chicago. It’s all about whether or not they want to play inspired basketball.
Sunday December 10th vs. Atlanta Hawks
The Knicks then return home for a Sunday match-up with a 5-19 Atlanta Hawks team that they just lost to back on November 24th. At home against a bad team should equate to a win for head coach Jeff Hornacek’s team.
Tuesday, December 12th vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Despite the fact that the Los Angeles are sitting at 8-15, they’re not a bad team. They’ve given teams like the Golden State Warriors a run for their money. They’re a young team that can put up points.
The Knicks can’t afford to go down early, like they tend to do. Brandon Ingram or Kyle Kuzma could take over if New York doesn’t feel like playing team defense.
Thursday, December 14th @ Brooklyn Nets
A date with the cross-town rival 9-14 Brooklyn Nets is yet another game that the Knicks should win. It might be road game at the Barclays Center, but I’m sure there will be plenty of Knicks fans that make the short trip to Brooklyn.
If the Knicks can win their next fives games, they’ll have a six game winning streak and an 18-12 record heading into a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, December 16th at Madison Square Garden.
