Kristaps Porzingis has credit the New York Knicks recent play to good defense.
It’s been quite a surprise that the New York Knicks have been playing so well lately after starting out the season with an 0-3 record.
One of the reasons the Knicks have been playing well is the great all around play from star forward Kristaps Porzingis.
“This feels different. I think we have better fundamentals,” Porzingis told the Daily News. “Defensively, we’re going after it every night. We may not do it 48 minutes but there are parts of the game where we actually lock in. We do our defensive system the right way. And we just play hard. And that’s the main difference.”
Hopefully the Knicks can keep it up and Porzingis can stay healthy as he deals with elbow bursitis and an ankle injury that kept him out of this past Wednesday’s loss to the Orlando Magic.
The good news is that Porzingis is expected to play on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings.
