Could Jarrett Jack’s time with the New York Knicks be close to ending?
The New York Knicks will have a decision to make when veteran center Joakim Noah is eligible to return from his suspension. Do they release point guard Jarrett Jack, who is playing under a non-guaranteed contract? Or do they release a player that has a guaranteed contract?
I’m sure the Knicks never expected Jack to be playing this well. Right now it would be a mistake for them not to let him go.
Jack has been a huge part of the Knicks winning three straight games after starting the season at 0-3, due to his ability to keep the team on track offensively and his ability to help out with an average of 5.6 assists per game.
Jack recorded a total of 19 assists over the course of the Knicks two wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Denver Nuggets. He had five the other night in a loss to the Houston Rockets.
When looking at the Knicks’ roster, it would make more sense for them to move on from someone like Luke Kornet, than it would for them to cut Jack.
At the end of the day, I would like to think that the Knicks will keep Jack, but you just never know with them.
