Are the New York Knicks good enough to make the playoffs in 2017-18?
Despite a tough loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, the New York Knicks are still confident that they’re a playoff team after winning three of their last four games heading into a showdown with the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.
“We don’t look at ourselves as a rebuilding team,” McDermott told . “We’re young, we got some good young pieces but we want to win games. That’s been our goal. We want to show people that we’re capable and we beat some teams that are playoff teams and we feel like we’re a playoff team.”
Knicks’ center Enes Kanter agrees with McDermott.
“If we stay together and we play our basketball, yes I believe [that we’re a playoff team],” said Kanter.
With the Eastern Conference being so weak, the Knicks could be a playoff team, but I’m not sure they’re good enough to get out of the first round.
If the Knicks are going to make a run at the post season, they’ll need good consistent play from Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr.and Enes Kanter.
